What happened to moving CCD away from Sunday norning? As a parent and teacher I prefer to keep them seperated.

How do we have enough teachers for 2 different class times when we didn't even have enough teachers for one?

Are teachers expected to teach 2 nights?

How do you coordinate between 2 different teachers (if that's the case) to ensure the kids are being taught the same info?

Survey results pointed to desire for all classes on a single day. Sunday morning was both most popular choice and least liked. I would have preferred Sunday mornings just for Mass and family but committee had strong feelings about keeping it.

We will have to recruit more teachers and aides. I do not expect teachers to do double duty. The choice of texts is the content control, not the teachers.

Since my son is in Kindergarten CCD, will we still need to register him for CCD since it will be conducted as "Liturgy of the Word" session during Mass? Please explain.

I do like the idea of having a choice between sending your child (grades 1 thru 7) either Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. I'll stick with Wednesday evening myself. Thank you.

We don't have to keep attendance with the Litugy of the Word, so no registration needed for that. Teacher can keep a roster so they get to know the kids better.

With respect to Sunday AM CCD. You can keep them separated with the new schedule. You now have the choice of EITHER Sun AM CCD or Wed evenning for all grades.

At first, I was upset with the results because it did not fit with my lifestyle. However, after considerable thought, I have succumb to "blind faith". As a child of God, I will put my faith in him. If this is what's best for the parish and the children, then I wholeheartedly support the changes. I will make the adjustments as needed to work with the parish. The way I see it, we all have to give a little to gain a lot. Thank you RE committee for allowing us to provide input.
